On the 28th June we are holding our third quarterly regional forum when we will be discussing the latest constraints on our electricity distribution network serving Yorkshire, northern Lincolnshire and the North East.

You will also find out how Northern Powergrid are:

• Transforming flexibility services* in a smart and efficient way to both manage the electricity network and facilitate the low carbon transition – utilising new tools that will facilitate more flexibility service provision from the marketplace
• Helping our domestic customers access the information, funding and advice that they need to decarbonise their home, ensuring no-one is left behind in the energy transition

Many electricity generators and consumers have the potential to reduce their demand for electricity during peak periods or, conversely, the ability to increase energy supply using existing, on-site power generation assets. As we build our need for flexibility on our network, Northern Powergrid will be able to offer contracts with these customers, which will allow them to utilise this demand and generate flexibility service in return for financial payment.
